Program Overview
This program has been designed to meet both national and international standards, fulfilling criteria for further education and job opportunities. Courses are designed to enable full-time study over a two-year period.
Program Mission: The MSPT Program is committed to producing professional practitioners and effective teachers to address complex musculoskeletal problems in dynamic educational and healthcare environments to serve the community.
Aim of the Course: To produce proficient physical therapists who are capable of dealing with uncertain, complex and dynamic situations.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
Apply knowledge to manage patients/clients with complex musculoskeletal problems.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health-related conditions.
Effectively write and verbally communicate with health professionals and other service providers.
Demonstrate advanced theoretical concepts and principles relative to physical therapy practice.
Apply evidence-based physical therapy practice under dynamic situations.
Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Examine and provide Physical Therapy services to patients having musculoskeletal and neurological disorders in their own discipline.
Function as a member of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in the disabled community.
Design education-based and research-oriented Physical Therapy practice.
Use communication skills verbally and in descriptive patterns to interact with patients and community.
Conduct their activities in a professional and ethical manner.
Develop lifelong learning and professional growth.
Describe problems in Physical Therapy practice and understand their difficulties.
Design experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results.
