Ensure students are aware of the nature, origin, history and scope of Psychology as a modern discipline and its relationship with other sciences.

Be aware of the different perspectives, functional systems and theories used in psychology to study, understand and explain its subject matter.

Be aware of the experimental underpinnings of the study of psychology and develop a scientific approach to the subject.

Be conversant with the biological, biochemical and genetic basis of behavior.

Be fully knowledgeable about the cognitive, behavioral and personality functioning of the individual: developmentally, interpersonally and socially.

Be familiar with the methods psychology employs for studying and changing behavior, and the strengths and weaknesses of these methods.

Be aware of the moral and ethical implications of psychological theories, procedures and practices.

Have a working knowledge of the application and practice of psychology in real life, with all the necessary skills to continue specialist study and achieve professional qualifications.

Be able to conceive, design, and conduct small-scale research projects, analyze the information and share it with colleagues.

Ensure psychology is taught as an applied discipline with a scientist-reflective approach.

Participate in seminars and annual research papers in each course on current areas of psychology.

Develop insight and personality growth through internships.

Inculcate the spirit of applying rational judgment over unbridled instinctive and impulsive actions.
